Breaking Bad vs. The Walking Dead
Breaking Bad vs. The Walking Dead
On my last post i said how much i love both of these shows but now it's time to compare the characters to see which is a more dominant show. Round 1: Main Protagonist Walter White vs. Rick Grimes |
Okay, Walter White is a dying man with lung cancer who suddenly thinks of cooking meth with the help of his former student Jesse Pinkman. Walt is a caring father who struggles to fight his inner demons. Now Rick is a man who got shot on duty as a sheriff but wakes up from a coma in the post apocalyptic world. Rick is also a good father and he tries his best to protect his people from the dangerous things that are out there in the apocalyptic world. I love both of these characters but Walter's character is more dark and compelling so this round goes to the one who knocks.
Winner: Walter White
Round 2: Cheating Wives
Skyler White vs. Lori Grimes
This goes without saying that these are two of the most hated characters in their own show so for this duel we'll go with who do you hate more. Skyler is a wife who cheats on his husband with her boss and tries to separate Walter from his family while Lori also cheats on his husband with the husband's bestfriend and is the most annoying character on the show. So for this round i hate Lori more so she wins.
Winner: Lori Grimes
Round 3: Sidekicks
Jesse Pinkman vs Carl Grimes
Every hero needs a sidekick and these two are the perfect sidekicks. Carl Grimes who is sometimes annoying and sometimes cool he is also the son of the main protagonist Rick but Carl is not pretty much of a sidekick since in the first two seasons he was a bit of a brat. But when the seasons past he keeps thinking that he can the post apocalyptic world by himself but then realizes he still can't do it alone he still needs the help of his father. And now we go to Jesse Pinkman a former junkie who helps Walter to cook methamphetamine. He may look a bad guy but deep inside he has a good heart. When the seasons passed Jesse is one of the most tortured character on the show but in the end he was the last man standing. So for this round i think Jesse wins i like his character better.
Winner:Jesse Pinkman
Round 4: Badass Supporting Characters
Mike Ehrmantraut vs Daryl Dixon
These two are the most badass secondary characters ever! Mike Ehrmantraut a former cop and is now a hitman/cleaner who works for the meth kingpin named Gus Fring. How badass is Mike? Well he can kick Heisenberg's ass and cleans dead bodies like its just dust and he is also a caring grandfather. Now lets go to Daryl Dixon one of the most badass zombie killers ever! And he also has a really cool crossbow that can be used for long range and short range. He also has cool survival techniques and once he threw an arrow to a zombie and it got a perfect shot to the head. I love both of these characters but Mike is not as badass as Daryl so this round goes to Daryl Dixon!
Winner: Daryl Dixon
Round 5: Insane Antagonists
Gustavo Fring vs The Governor
Now it's a tie with Breaking Bad with 2 points and Walking Dead with 2 points. So this is the last round and this is also the tie breaker with The Governor facing off against Gustavo Fring. They both look good on the outside but inside is an insane psychopath. Let's start with The Governor a mad man driven insane by the death of his daughter and he also invades the prison where Rick and his group are hiding and he killed a couple of leading characters like Merle Dixon, Hershel Greene and also guns down each and every one of his men and he is also wearing a scary eye patch that i think he stole from Kurt Russel. Now let's go to Gustavo Fring also an insane mad man and he also owns a meth lab that is hidden in his own laundry shop. But outside the drug world he owns a fast food restaurant named Los Pollos Hermanos and he is also friends with the DEA. Gus also has a couple of good kills like when he ripped a guys throat with a box cutter and he also threatened to kill Walter's family and even his death is amazing. These two are equally insane and scary but i think Gus Fring wins this.
Winner: Gustavo Fring
Overall Score
Breaking Bad:03 Walking Dead:02
Winner: Breaking Bad
Like i said Walking Dead is good but Breaking Bad is a Television masterpiece!
